Startup Idea: Development of Card Swiping Software for Event Planning Companies

Startup idea to develop a software that can read and extract information from cards, such as AAA cards, and load it directly into a database for lead generation in an event planning environment.

I work as a mid level marketing manager at an event planning company. We put on events for large clients in industries like auto insurance and also cable companies.

A big problem that we have is that we have multiple subscriptions to things like our card swiping software that will pull information from the person's AAA card and load it into our ipad.

We collect that information and store that in a database and give it to the client for lead generation.

This software actually expired recently and it doesn't look like the company provides support for it anymore. So now we are trying to find new software that does this or we will have to hire someone to make it.
