Startup Idea: Dating App Enhancement: Algorithm for Client Ratings

Summary for idea #4066
Startup idea to develop an algorithm for dating apps that allows clients to rate their dates on specific professional parameters. The goal is to increase transparency and reduce the misleading nature often found in online dating. Users could provide feedback on aspects like punctuality, resemblance to photos, politeness, and date expectations.

I have observed my friends trying to make sense of the online dating world. They are frustrated by the misleading nature of the process, such as candidates being blatently dishonest, ghosting, and unreliability of potential dates.

Could an algorithm be developed that allows clients of dating apps to rate their dates? The parameters need to be specific, and professional, not to encourage negativity or bullying in any way.

Clients could rate the following;

Was your date punctual? How closely did they resemble submitted pictures? Would you date this person again? Were they polite and courteous throughout the date? Did the date meet you expectations given the client profile? Etc.. Maybe a list of 10 predetermned qestions, with a rating scale for 0-10. Then a total objective score could be calculated for each candidate. It would take some of the anxiety, speculation and uncertainty out of the online dating industry. Consumers are so accustomed to rating EVERY thing online. Home Away and Air BnB have homeowners ratung guests now under the same rationale as above. Just a thought. I have not seen that this currently exists in the online dating world. I have interviewed women only who are dating and have met with very positive feedback about the idea.
