Startup Idea: Memory Enhancer Digital Text Reading Tool

Summary for idea #473

Recently an article discussed the idea that students learn way more effectively from print textbooks than screens.

One of the notions was that because scrolling is such an etherial concept there is less for the brain to pin into the memory against. For example, a book is physical, it has a page, the page has design artifacts etc.

In that case, perhaps technology could be created that could overlay a kind of unique memory palace on to every page of content.

It could be the very opposite of the spritz reading tool that only shows one word at a time.

For example, perhaps a machine learning algorithm could look at each paragraph and then work out an icon to associate with it and then in the UI somewhat relevant icons could be displayed next to every paragraph. Here is an example:

11|447x500

In this way the student would have 2 things to pin this information into their memory with, the icon and the content of the paragraph.

This technology could be developed as a a browser extension that works with any website thus making the web an easier place to remember.

The revenue model could be similar to https://www.grammarly.com that is doing rather nicely thank you very much.
