Startup Idea: Image-based Comprehensive Measurement Tool for Engineers

Startup idea to develop a software that allows engineers and architects to get comprehensive measurements of buildings, doors, windows etc. from a single photograph. This will speed up the process of blueprinting and reduce errors that arise from manual measurements.

I currently work in the engineering field and make blueprints for businesses. Something that causes a big problem in this field is improper measurement and the time it takes to get them. When recreating a building, it would be ideal to be able to take a picture of a building and have it calculate all of the measurements of windows, doors, and the building itself.

I would pay for software that could do this for me because it would cut out a lot of tedious work and jobs would much quicker.

There are similar apps for phones but they only allow to measure one item at a time and the only think it really relieves is the need to bring a tape measure.

Some terms I have used were "picture measure" "get measurement from photo" and more of similar fashion. I still have to go and do it all one at a time
