Startup Idea: Mobile App for Simplified Child Check-in and Check-out

Startup idea to create a mobile app that simplifies the check-in/check-out process for a church-based 'Parents Morning Out' program. The app would feature the functionality to clock children in and out with timestamps, have a pre-populated list of child or family names and export a day's list of activities for simple billing processes.

I help run a "Parents Morning Out" program at my local church that allows members to drop off their babies and toddlers during a 3 hour window for supervised play and activities while they go out and shop, run errands, etc. It's not a full blown daycare but more of an informal drop-in during specified times.

While we try to keep things as simple as possible, the check in/check out process is chaotic and we often miss times and have to backfill by guessing (which affects billing as parents are charged in 15 minutes increments).

It would be fantastic to have an app that would allow for a simple check in and check out with a couple clicks or swipes. Possibly have a pre-populated list of child or family names, then on each day we could "clock" them in and out as they arrive and leave.

If it were a smartphone app it would be a lot more manageable since I assume the entries could be timestamped, and the ability to export a day's list of activity would simplify our billing.

We currently use a paper sign in sheet (which is often overlooked) and I don't think there is anything as simple as what we're looking for.
