Startup Idea: Unified Photography Editing Software
I work as a photographer and designer doing freelance work. I often have the need to open and edit large batches of photographs to be edited. For many years I have worked in the Adobe Creative Suite because they have cornered the market.
While their software is powerful, it is not always efficient. For example, I can open my photos in Adobe Bridge and select photos to be edited in batch through Camera Raw.
These basic tools are fine, but when I have to do more fine tuned work like background and face swapping or skin retouching, I am forced to open yet a third software and work in Photoshop. This does not create a very efficient work flow.
While these three interfaces should run smoothly together, often they will freeze up or produce an error. This causes either a loss of time or even a loss of work previously done.
What I am proposing is for someone to finally step up an offer an alternative software. Obviously it is something photography and design professionals would value and pay for if you check the price point on regular Adobe software.
I would love to see a program incorporate the batch editing features of Bridge and Camera Raw with the fine tuning capabilities of Photoshop to creat one photography super program.
