I work in Drywall Project management. I need a cost/work in place program which would work on mobile devices.

My idea for this would be something like PlanGird app, but combined with the ability to assign cost values like onscreen takeoff suite programs.

Mobile app format would be best since running costs usually will require job-sites visits. Also you could have a lightweight estimation component to price change orders or extra work in the field. Currently I run cost by essentially combining these to programs.

I use PlanGird to mark up prints by creating a system that only I could really interpret to assign different levels of work completion for areas.

Then I have to take that back to the office and transcribe this all based on the original estimate values and any change orders. If I could do this all at once in the field and then send it in to review with the project team would be an amazing time saving device! Also the ability to better generate a review able report to show work in place values vs actual cost would be a great benefit as well.

I have looked but simply combine to different products to produce a report. I use PlanGird for mark ups, onscreen for interpret the values and the estimate. Then I create a report using word and excel.
