Startup Idea: Real-Time Sports Equipment Tracking Software

Startup idea to develop a software capable of real-time tracking of non-expendable sports items. Facilitates changing athlete preferences quickly without the need for complex spreadsheets, with potential for an associated smartphone application for added convenience.

Working in the sporting industry, there isn't really software available to do real time tracking of non-expendable items. Helmets, bats, shoulder pads, gloves, etc. The traditional systems simply do not translate into the sporting industry.

I work in college football with athletes who constantly change their preferences about what they want. Rather than slogging through a massive spreadsheet, having something real time, eventually with an smartphone app, would allow me to change preferences on the fly.
