Startup Idea: Real Estate Social Media Management Software
I work in real estate, as an assistant to several real estate agents. Part of my job is to help advertise homes that are for sale, or will soon be on the market, open house events, communicate with past clients and things of that nature. When I first began this job several years ago there really wasn't any real estate company in our area doing these things and we were able to dominate the social media market and on client based websites such as Zillow. But as with everything technology related, things have changed.
I've found it difficult to not only keep up with all the various websites and posting things to it (not to mention, it seems that all of my RE agents are constantly forgetting their passwords to their social media accounts or what accounts they have and haven't set up. (IE, do they already have a paid Zillow account? How about Trulia? Are we doing Facebook promotional posts already?
Does this agent have accounts on any other sites that we need to know about so that we can market their properties effectively?). It would be great if there was a way to track these sorts of things aside from the basic excel workbook that I've frankensteined together over the years.
An added bonus would be a way to post an ad to multiple platforms (social media, send out correspondence to clients, create a video for our YouTube channel, etc) so that I am not constantly having to log in and out of various websites.
So far, my best solution has been putting together an excel document with all the info for my agents that I have, but sometimes things change without warning (a password changes, or some website changes their requirements), which makes keeping that spreadsheet data up-to-date challenging.
