Startup Idea: Enhanced Parent-Teacher Communication Software for Public Schools

Startup idea to develop a software that simplifies and enhances parent-teacher communication. The software should allow teachers to initiate effective, instant message styled communication with parents seamlessly, streamlined into the school district database. The solution must ensure message delivery either through text message or email for the parents.

I work in the public school industry. One of the biggest problems in my day is parent communication that is quick and efficient.

There are communication apps, but these are not sufficient. They require parents to initiate the communication. I need to easily be able to initiate the communication by simply clicking theirs or their child's name. I also do not want to have to keep track of email chain type messages.

I simply want a scrolling instant message style of communication. This needs to be a system that feeds into the district data base securely and that auto loads and connects to parents text messages or email, so that you know they are receiving the message.

I have spoken with the district IT department and they are not aware of any system that allows for this type of communication nor has anybody tried to sell it to them. I know my district is looking for software of this type and would pay for it.

This software would increase student achievement by making parent communication easier. Parent communication is the number one driver of student success.
