Startup idea to create a platform similar to Uber or Lyft where homeowners can find and hire people to perform quick handy jobs. The app allows users to post tasks with specifications and receive price quotes from verified individuals with the necessary skills.

As a small home owner I find it difficult to find people who can perform quick handy jobs. For example fixing a leaky faucet, changing a light fixture, some light painting that may require a ladder or really basic supplies that may not be available around the house.

Sort of an uber or lyft like app for people who would in some way can be verified to perform these tasks. It seems like a lot of contractors are just simply not interested in the smaller jobs.

They are just not that valuable to them. But at the same time there are a lot of individuals with valuable skills and tools that can perform these tasks quickly and efficiently.

Example: you want to change you faucet in the kitchen. Choose a new faucet that can be delivered to your house, make a post requesting the work, the time of the job and maybe a picture of the existing set up and post so some one with the requires skills can answer the add with a price quote. None that I know of exist.
