Startup Idea: Snap-Reading: A Modern Interface for Student Reading Logs

Summary for idea #623
Startup idea to develop a software solution for tracking students' independent reading. An app similar to Snapchat in interface where students can snap pictures of books being read and their subsequent reactions. The software would have features that allow students to log books using a barcode scanner, and teachers to effectively manage their classroom library.

I am an English teacher. I want to track my student's reading of independent books. I currently use Goodreads, but the interface is clunky and students don't get it. I basically want to use a snap-chat style interface but have students snap pictures of their book and their reading response. They could report what page they are on and their reaction. They could scan the barcode to log the book. I could use it to scan and log my classroom library as well. Snapchat meets reading logs. Yes. I've used goodreads. I've used snapchat. Neither does this exactly. I've used online card catalogs, but they are slow and old and clunky.
