Startup Idea: Dental Radiograph Interpretation Software
Summary for idea #631
Startup idea to develop a software solution for dentists, endodontists, and oral surgeons that can accurately identify and highlight the inferior alveolar nerve and the apex of the tooth in radiographs. The software aims to mitigate potential nerve damage during dental procedures and to assist in better diagnosis.
Original submission by someone willing to pay to get a problem solved (not AI)
I am a dental student. A big problem for many dentists is finding the inferior alveolar nerve and the apex of the tooth where the periodontal ligament is on traditional radiographs (periapical and panoramic).
Software you read the density difference and highlight where this is in difficult cases for the human eye to interpret.
I would pay a lot of money as would endodontists and oral surgeons in large and small private practices.
Perhaps a few hundred dollars a year for a license. In addition to making money you might be helping people getting their lower molars extracted from suffering nerve damage.
