Startup Idea: Collaborative Project Management Application

Startup idea to develop a simple project management application where content creation teams can report their progress for effective coordination and timely completion of projects. Reporting categories would include 'finished', 'on schedule', and 'delayed' to simplify understanding of overall project status.

I work in an environment that requires me to collaborate with multiple content creation teams. I personally work with several so that I can manage my website and it's content.

However its a massive struggle to keep every one on track to get to the end goal. More often than I care to admit I have had to delay the release of content on my website because of miscommunication.

If there was an application that all teams could log into and report their progress to the head of the project (me) that would be perfect.

I would be able to see who is finished with their part, who isn't and where productivity seems to be failing overall. The software would be very simple in my vision.

The people logging in would simply have 3 options when reporting their work. That being if they are finished, On Schedule , or delayed. That's it.

Maybe a little bit of text to explain why you are delayed but that is it. If this was available I think many people in my position would purchase it. Yes, it doesn't exist and I'm forced to deal with hassles as hey come up.
