Startup Idea: Automated Four Color Black Correction Software

Startup idea to develop a software that automatically scans and corrects instances of four color black (C, M, Y, K) in PDF files to K-only black. This tool will streamline the process for web offset printing companies, saving significant amount of time and resource.

I work in the web offset printing industry and one of the biggest time sucks in our day is fixing four color black on customers' files before they can be printed on the press.

Four color black is when the color black on the page is made up of all four colors (C, M, Y and K) mixed together instead of only black (K) ink.

Four color black can't be registered properly on the press so we have to spend hours editing the customers' files to fix it.

A software that could save a ton of time would be a software that could go through a PDF file and turn all instances of four color black to K-only black.

Yes I would pay for this and so would any printing company because the hours spent fixing this issue are equivalent to a full-time employee.
