Startup Idea: Phone Application for Locating Beers on Tap

Startup idea to develop a phone application with a backend database for locating specific beers on tap in local bars or restaurants. The app would also integrate with GPS for providing location directions.

I am an IT Analyst so I'm already in the IT industry.

I am also an avid beer drinking and like sampling lots of varieties. A problem that I would like solved would be a phone application that lists all of the different beers on tap in your local geographic area. For example, say I wanted to try 3 Floyd's Alpha King and wanted it on tap.

This application would utilize a back end database that would bring up a local bar in the area that has this specific beer on tap. The application would also integrate with GPS so it could give me directions to the location.

I think this would be a very useful application. You would probably need some sort of way for the local bars and restaurants to track what beers they have on tap. I have not tried yet, but was wanting to look into it.
