Startup Idea: CDL Driver Verification and Rating Software

Startup idea to develop a software where CDL drivers can register and log their training data and past infractions for verification by potential employers. This highly transparent and searchable database would assist small trucking businesses in making informed hiring decisions.

I work in the trucking business part time, as part of a family business.

There are often times where we hire new CDL drivers, but we often are told of past infractions they may have committed in previous jobs while on the road or the amount of time they trained for the CDL qualification.

Unfortunately due to the turn over in this business it is difficult to observe the level of training or the quality of the training company that have trained these drivers.

It would be ideal to have a rating program where these drivers would register and input their data to be viewed and verified by small business owners like us. We just have to try to use our best judgement in hiring possible applicants.
