Startup Idea: Software for Non-Linear Writing and Storyboarding

Summary for idea #655
Startup idea to develop a software tool that assists fiction writers who work in a non-linear fashion. It would enable the input of different scenes, their categorization, and rearrangement in a storyboard-like manner. The software could highlight repetitive phrases and make the process of organizing the storyline more efficient and less strenuous.

I'm a writer, for fiction novels but I don't write my stories in linear fashion. So I will do scenes from the beginning, then scenes from the end, then scenes from the middle, and jump around.

The problem with this is, then I have a very very difficult time getting everything to dovetail neatly when it's time for me to streamline everything from beginning to end and make sure it all fits together.

And because of this also, I have a hard time catching highly repetitive phrases that I use a lot but don't realize I use a lot because I may use it once every three scenes but not know because I'm not riding the scenes in order, you know?

So what would be great is if you guys could come up with a software program that could work on a phone or on a computer or something, any kind of thing you type on and use to write with, because I write on my PC and on my phone, some kind of software program that allows you 2 write scenes and then sort of storyboard them?

So that I can write just maybe three or four lines of dialogue and stick it on the storyboard where it goes and then write a scene for a different part of the storyboard and then stick that where it goes until I have everything streamlined and that would make the streamlining process for writing my novels so much easier.

I solve this problem now by slaving away and wasting a ton of printer paper and toner printing out multiple copies of documents that are upwards of 400 pages and marking them up with red pens. It's very physically taxing. Those things weigh like 15 pounds.
