Startup Idea: Fabric Design Software for Creative Quilting

Startup idea to build a software for quilters that allows users to upload a picture of their fabric and design new quilt blocks. This should offer numerous color choices allowing users to print designs, and assist in in-store fabric purchase.

According to the Quilting in America survey, in 1997 the value of the quilting market was $1.21 billion. By 2014 it was worth more than three times that amount at $3.76 billion.

I am in need of software that offers a creative way to upload a picture of my fabric and the use the upload to design new quilt blocks.

It would help to have many colors available also. This way the user can design quilts, then print out a copy of the design. The user would then take the printout with them to the store to purchase fabric needed.

I am convinced that this type of software would be purchased by many. Moving from traditional pen and paper design to an app which offers many choices in the quilt block is long overdue. I looked for a program or app and couldnt find anything. Quiters currently use pen and graph paper.
