Startup Idea: Startup Idea for Enhanced Dock Customization for Mac OS

Summary for idea #672
Startup idea to develop a software program or app that enhances the customization features of Mac OS's dock. The primary feature is 'window dodge', allowing the dock to automatically hide when a window covers it, and reappear when the window is moved away. The idea aims to provide a solution akin to Linux's Docky software to Mac users.

I use mac OS on Apple computers. While I find that the app dock is useful and convenient, its customization features are very limited.

Consider the free dock software available on Linux, called Docky. It allows you to change the theme of the dock, but the most helpful feature is that it allows you to tweak the "hiding" behavior of the dock. More specifically, it has something called "window dodge." What this means is that the dock will always be visible on your screen unless a window would cover it, in which case the dock would automatically be hidden. But it would return as soon as a window is not covering the designated "dock" area.

As of right now, there is no way to do this with Mac's dock. You can either have it always visible, or always hidden until you hover your mouse over that area. I think it would be helpful to have a program/app that allows it to have "window dodge," or even a software replacement for the Mac dock that allows you to have these features. I tried searching "mac dock window dodge" and "mac dock intellihide." Currently, there is no solution, I simply leave the dock visible until I specifically need all that screen space, and then I "hide" it manually.
