Startup Idea: Easy-to-Use Software for Veterinary Clinics

Startup idea to develop a user-friendly, modern, and efficient software solution for veterinary clinics. The software would simplify record keeping, invoice generation and product labeling, encouraging more vets to adopt technology in their practice.

I am a veterinary technician and at the vet clinic I work at, everything is done on paper because the veterinarians do not want to learn to use the software available to them.

When business is very busy it can take a long time to keep records of everything done and writing invoices for people. If any of the veterinary software that exists can be improved upon to be more user friendly and a lot more up-to-date, it would be extremely helpful to many veterinary businesses.

Most programs available have too many options and everything is very spread out, instead of having all the buttons/options you need on one page.

They also look like they were designed in the 90's and don't run as well on newer operating systems. The basic needs that veterinarians would need in a program are keeping track of the animals' information, a place to keep records about what is happening to the animals, and a way to print labels for products people might buy.

While the software that exists for veterinarians today does include these things, many vets are declining to introduce a computer system into their business because they are not as familiar and good with technology.
