Startup Idea: Project Management Tool for Technical Delivery Teams
I work as a technical delivery manager for a financial firm and have 6 people on my team. Every project involved working with upstream and downstream systems. First, to help convey requirements that might impact them. Then to track any funding they may need for a change. Finally we need to create test cases and then execute those test cases with them over the course of a project.
There is no system that we currently use to track these activities. Right now we use Jira, email and spreadsheets. It is frustrating and hard to keep track of overall. Imagine a scenario when you have a system interacting with 20 downstreams. All of them with different teams and timelines themselves. No one has time for a complex interface or meeting. Something simple is needed to help manage these interactions.
Also, to track approvals. Approvals of getting the requirements, funding, test cases, execution of test cases and sign-off that you are ready to deploy. Something that will provide a tickler if they are late in approving or replying to a question. Yes. It seems to require a few different solutions. No one system will track all interactions between the systems in the enterprise.
