Startup Idea: Automated Price Comparison and Alert System

Startup idea to develop an all-encompassing, automated price comparison software/app that keeps looking for the best price for specified products over a set duration. This program will send alerts when product specifications are met or the desired price is found, optimizing time and money for users.

I like to comparison shop. It seems the apps out there are very specific to certain industries or products. What I would like to see is a software program and/or app that will keep looking for the best price for me over a specified time frame.

Lets say I want to purchase fireplace glass doors. I would then let the program know this is what I am looking for. I will give the specifications like price point, color, brand, size, etc.

Not all specifications would have to be filled out, but enough that the program can start the search. I would then set the search to last for example 2 weeks, or as soon as my specifications are met. I would receive a text and/or email once the specification are met. This will save me a lot of time and money.
