Startup Idea: Revolutionary POS and Inventory Management Software for Restaurants

Startup idea to solve long-standing problems in the restaurant industry by developing a user-friendly and integrated Point of Sale (POS) and inventory software solution. The intended software should modernize the visual interface, streamline back-end functionality, and consolidate all restaurant operations into a single robust system.

I work as a Manager in the restaurant industry, and I have a couple software related problems that I would love solved. Our POS stations have a very limited pool of software to choose from, and each has their own flaws.

Either they're not very user friendly, or they look boring and outdated, and the main server software they run off is a complete nightmare to navigate.

The industry desperately needs a new software developer to break into the field, which is a multi billion dollar industry. I'm also underwhelmed at the available inventory software, which is sometimes, but not often, integrated into the POS software.

If you could easily combine the two into one, running a restaurant from the front end will be as easy as running the back.

Many restaurants are avidly searching for software like these that are user friendly, and keeps everything in one program.

We would be interested in purchasing new POS software immediately if it met our expectations. Licensing fees as well. Brands like Digital Dining, or Aloha are just not cutting it anymore. It would make inventory, turn time, and employee down time easier to manage and create a more functioning restaurant.
