I work on mergers and acquisitions. There are a number of deal management systems but most are missing necessary items.

A great deal management system (data room) should mostly be a project management system that allows all stake holders to interface through the system and work on the deal due diligence and complete tasks with transparency to all stakeholders in the transaction.

It should also ideally have the ability to redact files within the system and incorporate document signing technology. The system should also be able to be branded with images videos and commentary from the intermediary.

The competing systems are expensive and every professional shop doing a large number of transactions each year needs to have it.

I'd pay for it.
