Startup Idea: Caller ID Authenticator Software

Startup idea to develop a software or an app that can validate the authenticity of a caller ID, either on a landline or a phone app. This would help people deal with fake caller IDs often used by stalkers or pranksters, improving security and peace of mind for users.

I would really, really appreciate software that could be attached to the incoming cable of a landline that would tell someone whether or not the caller ID was real or not, or if there was an app for a cell phone to do this on wireless capabilities. Right now there is software to hide one's real identity on caller ID, and people like stalkers use this to cause havoc in the lives of their intended targets and victims. Imagine if you could undo this false ID. I do not know if this would involve the certificate that is send back and forth for phone calls. I got a decent grade in Networks, but we never studied this part of the calling service. I have never looked online for such a solution, as this survey asked the question first. I had to sit and think about it.
