Startup Idea: Startup Idea for Developing Advanced Candidate Assessment Software
I have worked in the software development industry for over 20 years. Candidate locating and screening is the bane of our industry. There is no easy means to determine an applicant's cultural and technical background fit without several lengthy in person interviews. However, recent developments in machine learning, progressive testing and programmatic natural language (context) processing of candidate response data has the potential to change this.
Ideally, the software solution would be some mix of resume' processing, that included a tool set that enabled technical and human resources managers to custom tailor business specific skill and knowledge assessment and an open format essay-type data entry piece to be completed by interested job candidates that would sort and rank job candidates based on their fit within a user-defined n-dimensional job-fit space would, I believe, be a gold mine for the right small team. I tried locating a tool set, but nothing really does a good job right now.
