Startup Idea: 3D Printing Service App

Startup idea to develop a software application that allows users to take a photo of an object they wish to 3D print, and have the physical item mailed to them, eliminating the need to own and maintain a personal 3D printer.

I work with a small start-up company in the 3D printing industry. Owning your own 3D printer can be expensive when compared to the amount of work you actually get out of the printer, especially printers that make metallic hardware. There should be a software app that can take a picture of an item you wish to print, and then have the item sent to you instead of having to maintain your own 3D printer.
