Startup Idea: Text-Based Customer Notification System for Appointments
I work in a tax preparation company. Our clients are seen by appointments and sometimes on a "walk in" basis. Everyday there is some amount of wasted time waiting for a "no show" client and they usually use the excuse they had the time wrong or they forgot. We could really benefit from a customer notification system that uses texts to notify customers of things like an order being ready for pick up, or a reminder of an upcoming appointment. The ideal system offering an option to cancel or change an appointment by simply replying to a text. This system would help avoid missed appointments,lower call volumes of office phone lines and reduce the numbers of "no shows" which in turn would create more availablity and potentially creating more business.
