Startup Idea: Visual Cue Detection Plugin for Adobe After Effects

Startup idea to develop a plugin for Adobe After Effects to automatically analyze video scenes for specific colors or patterns. Upon detection, the plugin would trigger actions like clip splicing, layer switching, script running and provide a dropdown menu showing time-stamped detections for faster navigation.

I work video production as my primary job. I use Adobe After Effects which has good plugin support. It is a pain to manually scrub through hours of footage, looking for simple cues. It would be fantastic if we could get a plugin that can analyze a scene and look for certain colors or patterns which have been set in the parameters. When it finds these colors/ patterns, it could trigger a variety of actions, from splicing the clip, to switching on another layer, or even running a script. It would also display any findings in drop down menu which has every instance and the time it found it, for fast navigation.
