Startup Idea: Improving Payment Processing Software for Hotels

Startup idea to enhance the functionality of SPS software for credit card processing in the hotel industry. The project aims to solve problems with chip card reading and storing accurate credit card data despite changes to payment totals.

I work in the hotel industry. We have a big problem with the new SPS software for credit card processing of chip cards. Due to hotels doing authorizations rather than payments like at a grocery store, the chip function will not work. It is so silly that we have to have chip readers for our guests, but the chip reader doesn't work. The software is also fraught with other issues in that it stores a pseudo number for the card so if the total changes, the credit card is not accessible to us. We are not supposed to copy the card. The payment card industry software desperately needs improved for hotels.
