Startup Idea: On-Demand Delivery Solution for Delayed Orders and Mileage Tracking
I am self employed and work in a bunch of different industries: service, construction, and whatever mturk is.
Specifically, I sometimes to deliveries for Doordash, and a lot of the time customers' orders will already be late right when I get the order on my phone. This is because "dashers", or food delivery workers, look at the distance they have to travel and decline the order. So the order bounces around for almost an hour, and by the time someone (sometimes me) accepts it without looking at the details of the order, I get stuck with an angry customer who is mad at me for something that is not my fault. I'm not sure how you would solve this, but it is definitely a huge hole in the system. Something else that could be solved would be that the delivery driver app could track your miles traveled so that you know when tax season comes.
I wouldn't personally pay for it, but i think start up companies that work in the on-demand industry would pay for it to improve their platform.
