Startup Idea: Crochet Chart Generation Software

Startup idea to develop a software solution uniquely designed to automate the generation of crochet charts. Given that crochet design is a mathematical process and companies often use the same symbols repetitively, the software would provide automation, saving time and simplifying the design process for both large companies and small designers in the textile industry.

I am a textile designer and specifically within the field of crochet there is a need of a software that can generate crochet charts.

These days most crochet patterns offer both written and charted (visual) patterns, but there isn't yet a software to generate the visual charts.

Most companies I know (and the one I worked for, a huge hobby supply company) resort to using Adobe Illustrator to create the visual chart.

It's a pain because you use the same symbols over and over again, move and re-position elements, and the feeling is always that this could somehow be automated by software.

Crochet design is a mathematical process that should take very well to something like software automation. Both big companies and small designers (and even hobbyists) would love a software that could generate these kind of charts.
