Startup Idea: Manufacturing Process Automation Software

Startup idea to develop a scanning software that streamlines the additive tracking process in toner manufacturing. Through the software, employees can scan additives, automatically documenting type and quantity into an excel sheet. This boosts efficiency, accuracy, and eases workload.

I work for the toner manufacturing industry. I have been working there for about three years and work with a team of 12 individuals in order to produce toner product to the highest quality possible.

There job can be annoying at times and I feel software can facilitate the process. Currently, we manually add additives to hoppers which in turn will be blended with our dry toner product. We have to write down the lot number of the manually added additives and we also have to keep track of the quantity we add. We then manually input the lot number and the quantity of the additives we've added to an excel sheet.

An ideal solution to this problem would be to use some type of scanning software that can allow us to scan the additive each time we add it and have the software automatically populate the additive type and additive quantity to excel. This would save a lot of time and make tracking and usage of additives more efficient and accurate.

If I was the boss, I would certainly pay for a software solution that can accomplish the above tasks. This would make the life of the workers adding the additives easier and also allow upper management to better keep track of additive usage.
